Sunday sun day.

Sitting in the sun with a mangers and Chelsea Houdini. I wasn’t supposed to be drinking for a couple months but I ran out of Robinsons orange juice in the house and ended up stopping at a pub on my way up to Asda. Standard.

Hayfever killing me now. Can someone explain why I never get hayfever when I’m on holiday but the slightest bit of sun in Edinburgh and my eyes are falling out.

The sun has got his top off!

Yes it’s that time of year again when the sun is out in Edinburgh and every junkie, ned, chav and his girlfriend feels the need to take their top off, put shorts on and get drunk in the park. Even though it’s still colder than Michael Jacksons theme park.

Enjoy the sun!… While it lasts.

Six Impossible Things – 2011 Tour

If you haven’t already read on the DimeRock Records website, a new DJ and live performance tour has been announced by the Six Impossible Things group… and I’m taking part and representing the CalzoHoudini studio team of course.

Kicking off with myself (Callum James Greens/Calzo Houdini) and Raphaël in Hamburg and then Dubai, the tour is being continued in Thailand with a whole host of amazing international musicians, DJ’s & artists. All crammed into 2 weeks of pure musical bliss!

Taking on some of the world’s greatest clubs and venues including the Submarine Club in Dubai, Bed Supperclub in Bangkok and some of the most amazing beach parties in Thailand, the ‘Six Impossible Things’ tour promises an amazing show from a great collection of DJ’s, musicians and performing artists. Keep an eye out on the gigs and events page for all of the artists taking part in your country.

The gigs and events are set to change over time leading up to July but rest assured the groups will be live in Dubai, Bangkok, Phuket, Hamburg and Frankfurt with more cities to be announced in the coming months.

Best song to come out of…. Edinburgh

I’m starting my own little series of blogs where I talk crap about my favourite song to come out of various cities and what better place to start than my home town of Edinburgh!

For a long time it has felt as though Edinburgh’s music scene has had to play second fiddle to its cooler, bigger West Coast brother, picking up on Glasgow’s trends and regularly borrowing its records, its clothes and a little of its cachet. But while the press were looking the other way, Edinburgh’s scene has blossomed into a fertile, unique, busily innovative community of its own.
